Gateway Programme
The Gateway programme provides structured workplace learning to senior secondary school students.
Students can enroll in the Gateway programme and work towards unit standards in the communications and media industries. CMITO works with schools and employers to provide the appropriate training resources and support systems.
Gateway involves structured workplace learning with the following characteristics:
- a formalised learning arrangement set in the workplace
- clear understandings about the knowledge and skills to be attained by learners
- clear understandings about the assessment method used (workplace learning).
