Business Skills training (NEW): get $50 off till 31 May

30 April, 2012

People working in business administration or data processing can formalise their skills with CMITO’s new on-job Business Skills qualification.

The National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing, available at Levels 2 and 3, adds to the wide range of training options available through CMITO, including the new National Certificate in Sales, launched in February.

Feedback from industry led to the development of the Business Skills qualification, which has been successfully piloted in one of our companies.

“We are excited to offer these new qualifications for areas that previously did not have on-job training available,” says Anne Benson, CMITO manager.

“The Business Skills qualification provides people working in an office environment or inputting data out on the production floor with the chance to gain a national qualification. This training provides new staff with a solid foundation of knowledge to carry out their role or provides a refresher for those with more experience.”

The Business Skills qualification covers the key areas of:

  • Standard operating procedures in a company
  • Computer skills
  • Administrative skills
  • Communication skills
  • Working in a team environment

Upon completion of the Level 2 qualification, trainees can complete modules on team building and team leadership.

Trainees undertaking the qualification will receive training resources and receive support and advice from the ITO throughout the training. The on-job nature of the training means that skills a person learns can be applied to the role immediately and tasks carried out as part of the role are used to answer questions in the training workbooks.

The qualification is ideal for people new to an administrative or data inputting role or for those looking to progress their careers.

The qualification takes 12 months to complete and costs $550 + GST.
