National Certificates in Sales are ideal for sales people working in the print, packaging, media or signmaking industries.

The qualifications cover all aspects of sales including:

• Negotiation skills
• Managing a sales territory

The National Certificate qualification is available at Levels 3 & 4, with the completion times expected to be between 12 to 18 months depending on the option chosen.

Trainees begin their training with some elective options, which provide skills such as leading a team and communicating in the workplace. Trainees progress through the qualification by completing modules which are sent in to CMITO to be assessed.

They suit people working in an office environment or those carrying out data input or processing in any area of a business.

The qualifications take between 12 to 18 months to complete. Upon completion, further training is available in the areas of team building and team leadership.

Competitive Manufacturing provides the skills to implement modern manufacturing techniques required to sustain industry performance.

Delivered in the workplace, the focus of this training programme is on improving outcomes on the job. Units can be tailored to suit the needs of individual businesses.

Training programmes are available at Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the National Qualifications Framework, including a Level 4 Facilitation Strand in First Line Management, Delivery of Adult Education and Training, Assessment of Learning, Interpersonal Communications or Competitive Manufacturing. The Level 5 qualification is a diploma training programme.

Skills included in the training programmes include:

• Applying competitive manufacturing practice
• Sustaining process improvement
• Managing the impact of change on work
• Interpreting product costs
• Undertaking root cause analysis.
